let's get to know each other and have some awesome, healthy food. I love the flexible and plant friendly menu but it has other options that are still healthier for those that aren't completely plant based.
if we meet before the lunch rush I think it'll be better to have space and get to know each other. I will try to reserve tables if possible depending on how many people are joining in. this will be super fun!
I will actually allow more than 10 people at the event, it's just what it's set at for now. if we get to 10 people for the event and someone wants to come they can message me.

Come out to Lake of the Isles and enjoy the Luminary Loppet where you can walk or cross-country ski* on the candlelit trail. Experience 1,200 luminaries lining the trail with unique ice features and much more – all in the heart of Uptown. The Luminary Loppet is also the Loppet Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year – supporting our year-round programs as we live out of mission of connecting people to the outdoors through experiences that grow community.

Find refreshments such as hot cocoa and s’mores along the lake as you take in the beauty of the luminaries. Food trucks, Utepils Brewing beer, and music are located at the Luminary Party.

The Luminary Loppet is part of the City of Lakes Loppet Winter Festival- which includes cross-country ski, fat bike, snowshoe, and skijor races and tours, youth events, and more. The Luminary Loppet is not a race – enjoy a night out with family and friends!

*Please note that while skiing is allowed, this event has largely become a walking event and we cannot guarantee pristine tracks.

Star Guy” Wilfred Buck, an elder from the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, has committed his life to teaching how science has always been at the core of Indigenous ways of understanding the world. Inviting viewers to reconsider how we know the world around us, Anishinaabe filmmaker Lisa Jackson’s hybrid documentary portrait of this First Nations astronomer integrates Buck’s life story with his deep knowledge of Cree, Ojibwe, and Lakota peoples’ millennia-long observations of the stars, revealed through legends, cosmologies, and quantum physics. 2024, Aamjiwnaang First Nation/Canada, DCP, 97 min.

View the night sky through the Lawrence Sauter telescope located inside the Observatory Dome atop the Eisenhower Community Center, Room 347, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins. View stars, planets, and more with an experienced guide. The dome-enclosed telescope provides a spectacular view of the night sky.

Eisenhower Observatory is re-opening this Fall! Registration is open for many dates throughout the Fall season.
