**Join Us for Our First Christmas Light Paddle of the Season!**
Celebrate the holidays with an evening paddle through Alamitos Bay, Long Beach. Deck out your board with lights, dress in your most festive outfit, and enjoy a night of paddling and holiday cheer!

**Who can join?**
All skill levels are welcome! Just be comfortable paddling after sunset and around slow-moving boats.

We’ll have two winners for these categories:

1. Best-Decorated Board
2. Most Festive Outfit/Board Combo

**Voting:** Cast your votes on our Paddle LA and OC Facebook group! Winners will be announced after the final Christmas Light Paddle event on December 19.

### **Paddle Route:**

We’ll paddle through the Naples Canals to admire the dazzling lights from the water, staying together as a group for safety.

### **Timeline:**

* **4:30 PM:** Arrive and prep your gear
* **4:45 PM:** Launch onto the water
* **6:15–6:45 PM:** Return to shore

After the paddle, join us for some warm food and fun at **Noble Bird Rotisserie** at 2nd and PCH at **7:00 PM**.

We’ll be hosting a **White Elephant Gift Exchange** and an **Ugly Sweater Competition**—perfect for sharing laughs and getting into the holiday spirit. This event is being cross-posted with other community groups like Paddle LA and OC & Golfing LA and OC, so it should be a great turnout!

**White Elephant Gift Exchange**

* Bring a gift that’s funny, thought-provoking, or something you’d like to part with.
* No need to spend money—this is just for fun!
* Numbers will be handed out upon arrival, and the exchange will begin at **8:00 PM**.

**Ugly Sweater Competition**

* Wear your ugliest, funniest, or most creative holiday sweater or outfit.
* We’ll be voting online to choose a winner, so get creative!

**Venue Details**
Altar Society Brewing Co. is a unique brewery located in a Historic Masonic Temple in Downtown Long Beach. With a fantastic selection of craft beer, a full bar, and delicious food options, it’s an ideal place for a holiday celebration.

* Our group will be in the reserved backroom (coffee section).
* Separate checks are allowed to make ordering simple.

**Important Notes:**

* **This event is free, but purchasing a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or some food is mandatory.** Supporting the venue helps us ensure they’ll host us again for future events.
* When you arrive, head to the back and look for a friendly group. If you have trouble finding us, call me at **562-537-9206**.
* If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home and join us for a future event.

**Parking:**
There’s a parking structure off 3rd St. and Pine Ave., just half a block away. Parking is **free for the first two hours** and only about $1.50 per hour afterward.

**Additional Information:**

* This is a casual, informal event open to anyone 21 and older. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy good company, and have some holiday fun.
* Running late? No problem—join us when you can.
* Please plan for a designated driver or use Uber/Lyft to ensure everyone gets home safely.
