Writer’s Masterclass: Year-End Review & 2025 Brainstorm Session

Details

Join us for the first meeting of December on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

We'll be meeting at Station House (260 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701).

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Here’s what you can expect at this meeting:

  • Introductions: Get to know your fellow writers!
  • Member Feedback: Share your experiences and suggestions for making the group even better.
  • What Went Well: Celebrate our achievements and the best moments from this year.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Open discussion on areas where we can improve or expand.
  • Ideas for 2025: Brainstorm fresh ideas, new formats, or themes for next year.

HOW YOU CAN PREPARE
Think about the topics or experiences that made the biggest impact on your writing journey this year.

What helped you grow as a writer?

Are there any challenges or opportunities that could enhance our group in the future?

THREE STRIKES POLICY
Please note: This only applies to the Wednesday evening meetings at Station House because of our limited space. This does not apply to write-ins or hangouts.

Recently, we've noticed that members are RSVPing and not showing up to meetings. This prevents others who were on the waitlist from attending, which isn't fair to those people who wanted to come.
To make sure everyone eager to attend can snag a spot, we're introducing a "Three Strikes" policy for RSVPs:

If you RSVP for an event and do not show three times, you'll immediately be placed on the waiting list for future events. If there is room for that event, you'll be moved to the "Going" category.

We hate to do this, but RSVPing and not showing while there are others on the waitlist isn't fair to those individuals or the group as a whole.
If you're running late or something comes up, we'll understand! But you need to let us know in advance. Thank you for understanding.

PARKING:
There are several nearby options for parking:
1. Street parking: There is plenty of free and paid parking on 1st Ave South, 3rd St South, and 2nd Ave South.
2. 717 Parking - McNulty Garage
3. Sundial Parking Garage
