Whether you are curious about cognitive processes, behavior patterns, or the complexities of the human mind, this event is designed to provide a deeper understanding of how psychology can be used to enhance various aspects of our lives.
Topic for this meeting: Transformation is at the heart of inner “transformational” work. But what is transformation? How does it happen? Is there only one kind of transformation? What is it that transforms? Is there anything we can do to support it? Do we “make” it happen, or is it something that happens by itself but only needs our support. If so, how can we best support it? And, why is it so few people seem to transform if it does seem a possibility? Finally, what is the actual process or processes of transformation, and what might the fruits of it be? Why would one want to even engage with transformational work in the first place? In this masterclass we try to explore some of these questions, in part with the help of both wisdom knowledge and psychology, and see what insights we may uncover.
Agenda for meeting: We will explore the topic first with a brief talk by clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, & founder of the Center for Wisdom Psychology. As part of the talk he will outline some practical tools that people can use to cultivate greater self-knowledge in their lives. Then, we will get a chance to apply what we learned in fun, structured exercises in smaller groups of 2 or 3. We will close with a larger discussion, and time for questions and comments.
