“Park City Toastmasters of Stratford provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” says Bettyann Peck, the Park City club president. Geoff Thomas, the Club’s Sergeant at Arms states “We have no teachers or students - only individuals who want to help each other improve. Every speaker has an evaluator who gives positive, encouraging feedback on areas to improve, while praising the things that were done well”
Founded in 1952, Park City Toastmasters of Stratford is the President’s Distinguished club and also the oldest surviving Toastmasters club in Connecticut, having celebrated it’s 72nd anniversary this March. Toastmasters International also celebrated it’s 100-year anniversary. Founded in 1924, the organization is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado with over 270,000 members in more than 14,000 clubs in 150 countries.
Park City Toastmasters of Stratford holds hybrid meetings every Tuesday at 7:30pm EST at 7003 Main St in Stratford, Lord Chamberlain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center(across from the Sikorsky factory). Networking starts at 7:20pm. Zoom link can be obtained by emailing [email protected]
