Eastside Pit Shoot (monthly event)
Details
Just a reminder, everyone in this group can organize a "group meetup". If my "location" or my "Sundays" don't work for you, feel free to post your own meetup event. I know in the past we had coffee/lunch meetups, so please don't think you have to limit your meetup as a "shooting event". BBQs, Gun Shows, Movie Nights, Reloading Parties, Hiking/Fishing/snowshoeing, gun rallies, self-defense classes....etc whatever you want to do is fair game...as we all share one common interest..."Firearms".
Let's do a pit shoot on any given Sunday when it's not raining cats and dogs. If the weather forecast looks bad, we will "shoot" for the following Sunday.
What you pack in, you must pack out...so paper/cardboard targets only. Bring water, toilet paper/spade, snacks, ground tarp, rain gear, eye and ear protection, paper/cardboard targets, binder clips for paper targets, ammo and your trusty "boomstick"....if you have a "Discover Pass" bring it, if not, don't worry about it. Parking is limited, so lets meet at the Costco in Woodinville and carpool out to Duvall and do some shooting.
It's about a 15 to 20 minute walk in from the main road. Even longer if you're hiking in a bunch of gear. First-time out...travel light and/or bring a wagon/cart to haul your gear in. 2nd time out, you'll know your body/limits on how much gear you can take. There is an uphill but it's not steep.
.....Go to the 2nd driveway into Costco. Across from "Drive Auto Center" and the "Woodinville Self Storage"... Look for a black Saturn with Alaska and Marine Corps license plates.
For those of you who want to meet in Duvall...shoot me a private message with your phone #. We will meet you at Pho Thailand/Duvall Market....15820 Main St NE, Duvall, WA 98019
...Remember, it's about a 15 to 20 minute walk in from the main road. You will have to carry your paper targets, guns, ammo, food/water and any other range gear that you may need both to and from your vehicle. It's public land, so you need to pick up all your trash and pack it out with you. If the shooting pit turns into a public garbage dump, then the state will post up "no shooting" signs and declare it a no shooting zone....just as they did along I-90....pistols, shotguns, rifles are fine....shooting distance all depends on who is shooting at the pit and where they are shooting from. 100 + yards....to 50 yards....to 25 yards....to 10 feet...its public land so the pit is open to everyone....you just have to follow and shoot where everyone else is shooting from as there is no mandatory firing line....
Washington State prohibits the use of Explosive and incendiary items on public lands. So no Tannerite.
...... Anyone who needs "Ambo" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdR4g9DXrAg as John Wick gets more range time in... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xii9_oWQ7HY let me know and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
**Remember..safety ALWAYS comes first. I'll set up a "beginner" range for all new shooters so we can shoot safe/slow and not hold up the rest of the group. Here are the 4 basic safety rules for firearms:

Any unsafe acts will not be tolerated. I'll give a safety briefing at the shooting pit before we shoot. Let's all have a safe/fun shoot.**
