🤖 Talk 1: Vignesh Venkata Subramanian, Software Engineer at Center for Advanced Laser Applications
Title – “Beginner Friendly IoT in Python – Object Oriented design for writing IoT servers”
Description/Short Introduction – “Discover how to write systematic yet easily understandable object-oriented code for servers that expose hardware over HTTP. Also, learn about the Web of Things Thing Description standard on how to describe interactions with hardware in JSON format.
Vignesh is a software developer in Centre for Advanced Laser Applications, LMU. He is part of a team responsible for the remote data acquisition from measurement diagnostics hardware that capture data from scientific experiments, like cameras, oscilloscopes, PLC etc.. He will present the above talk in the context of the tool that he has developed for the same purpose called ‘hololinked’, which is a ZMQ based RPC server tailored for IoT and data acquisition applications.

🤖 Talk 2: Lin Ao, Senior Consultant Data Science / Data Engineering at Synvert Data Insights.
Title: “Transforming Jupyter Notebooks into Web Apps: A Python-Powered Approach to Heat Planning”.
Lin Ao studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Currently, he is a consultant in Data Science and Data Engineering at Synvert Data Insights in Munich.
„This presentation chronicles the evolution of our project around a municipal heat planning solution at our customer, transitioning from traditional notebooks to a robust, scalable web application. We undergo the journey of the entire project and through it, talk about the requirements, design choices, challenges, and lessons learned. We will discuss our chosen tech stack oriented around FastAPI, Pydantic and SQLAlchemy for backend applications, Celery with Kubernetes for distributed task processing, and the Python geospatial libraries for geospatial data analysis and visualizations as well as automated PowerPoint generation.“
