What we’re about
Welcome to Queer Global! 🌍✨
This Meetup group is dedicated to creating a vibrant and inclusive space for Queer Global Majority individuals including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Queer – An umbrella term which embraces a matrix of sexual preferences, orientations, and habits of the not-exclusively- heterosexual-and-monogamous majority; also a sexual orientation or gender identity label denoting a non-heterosexual and/or non-cisgender orientation.
Global majority refers to people who are "black, Asian, brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south, and or have been racialised as 'ethnic minorities'" and "represent approximately 80% of the world's population", according to educator and activist Rosemary Campbell-Stephens, who coined the term.

See all- Queer & People of Colour Histories Tour of Chiswick HouseChiswick House and Gardens Burlington Lane W4 2RP Chiswick, London
Join us for a special tour and creative workshop at Chiswick House & Gardens, exploring the often-overlooked histories of queer & people of colour/global ethnic majority in heritage spaces. This event is part of the Queer Global, a project celebrating the cultural heritage of LGBTQ+ people of colour and queer migrants in West London.
Historically, grand estates like Chiswick House were spaces of power and exclusion, often inaccessible to marginalised communities. Together, we will reimagine and reclaim this space by engaging with its history and making our own mark through storytelling and art.### Schedule:
🕚 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Guided Tour of Chiswick House
Explore the history of the house with a special focus on stories of its queer residents and people of colour visitors.

A reflective session exploring the themes of safe spaces, identity, and queer histories.
🫖 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Afternoon Tea & Snacks
