What we’re about
We are Loudoun County’s premier meetup for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who share a passion for tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). Our group is a vibrant tapestry of adventurers, dreamers, and storytellers dedicated to creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all. We have two types of events: mixers and game sessions.
Mixers: Join us for our lively mixers where we come together to celebrate our shared love for all things nerdy. It’s a chance to socialize, make new friends, and discuss everything from the classics that sparked our imaginations to the latest indie games like Thirsty Sword Lesbians. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the world of TTRPGs, you’ll find a community ready to welcome you with open arms.
Game Sessions: Ready your dice and sharpen your wits! Our game sessions are where the magic happens. Dive into epic campaigns, explore fantastical worlds, and create unforgettable stories with us. Whether you're curious about D&D or eager to explore other TTRPG systems, there’s always an adventure waiting for you.

Safety and Inclusion at Queer Quests & Comrades
At Queer Quests & Comrades, we’re dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all our members. Our meetups are spaces where respect, consent, and understanding are paramount. Here are our guidelines to ensure everyone has a great time:
- We welcome all people who identify as queer or LGBTQ+ regardless of presentation, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, disability, neurodiversity, and so on.
- Do not insult people based around race, gender, religion, body size, disability, orientation, kinks, or relationship styles.
- Do not engage in diet talk as it can be triggering for people with eating disorders and people in larger bodies.
- For the safety and comfort of our members, we ask that any non-LGBTQ+ individuals are accompanied by a queer friend, partner, or family member.
- Ask people what their pronouns are. Refer to them with the pronouns requested. If you make a mistake, make a quick apology and move on without making it into a "big thing."
- Respect boundaries. Work with your group to determine the overall comfort level with violence and other objectionable or potentially triggering content. We actively encourage all groups to make use of the TTRPG Safety Toolkit.
- We have a "no cliques" policy.
- We actively discourage the formation of cliques. Our meetups are about community and connection, not exclusivity. Our conversations are open circles.
- At a mixer, you should feel free to approach any group and join in their conversation.
- If you see someone standing alone, invite them to join in.
- At the same time, if someone indicates they’re engaged in a private discussion, please honor their space.
- We continue to be covid-conscious, so please stay home if you are sick. Each group should work together to determine their own safety protocols.
- We’re guests wherever we meet. Let’s be considerate of the venue and other patrons to ensure we’re always welcome back.
By joining our meetups, you agree to uphold these principles, ensuring Queer Quests & Comrades remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone to explore the world of TTRPGs.
If you have concerns or need assistance, please reach out to an organizer. We’re here to help and ensure your experience is positive.
