Hi fellow trivia geeks! I'm Christine, and I've been running an on-line trivia night since the beginning of the pandemic through the meetup group Denver Cinema Club (before covid -- we had a sub-set group that played trivia every week). Now it's time to bring that to a wider audience!
Trivia is similar to Geeks Who Drink for those who have done that. You can come as a pre-made group or singleton, in which case you'll be placed in a group. The more the merrier! Maximum 6 people per group.
Five rounds of 8 questions each (some rounds will be different). I always do a video & audio (music) round, and picture rounds pretty regularly as well.
You'll need a computer/tablet/Smart phone to access zoom. I do require people to show their faces on Zoom (you don't have to have it on the entire time). You'll also want a way to take notes (pen and paper, or open up a separate document on your computer).
Please be willing to follow rules, such as no cheating. This is for fun! People caught cheating will be removed from the group permanently. Rules are similar to those imposed in bar trivia.
After several spamming attempts, I am making the following disclosures:
- All new members MUST have their screen on at the beginning of the session. No exceptions. This helps cut down on inappropriate activity. Once you are known to the host, you can have screens on or off.
- No recording or videotaping of any kind is allowed at any time. Anyone suspected of recording will be removed immediately, and barred.
- All people play at the host's invitation, and can be removed at any time. This is a free game, therefore no money needs to be returned.
