What we’re about

WELCOME TO THE RACQUETEERS TENNIS CLUB - NW CHICAGO SUBURB Meetup site! We usually play on alternate Sundays between 6:00 – 8:00 pm with socializing, food provided (frequently), and refreshments afterward.
PARTICIPANTS: Co-ed. Approximate play level- 2.5 to 4.0 (NTRP rating). Age group is 20's to 70's +. It is not super competitive tennis but not beginner, either. We have a lot of fun!
LOCATION: River Trails Tennis Center, 2831 Malmo Drive, Arlington Heights IL 60005 (847-593-0580).
FEE: $25 (BYOB) per session which includes balls and NA refreshments. Play is 30 minutes per each set of doubles, King of the Hill style matches. Partners will be as fairly paired up as possible, but often randomly. Winners move up, losers move down, changing partners after each match.
PAYMENT: RSVP YES To the invitation from this Racqueteers Meet-up site and PAY via PayPal to [email protected] or via Zelle ([email protected]) before Saturday midnight to guarantee an available spot for Sunday play. Regulars may pay cash or electronically on the day of play. Feel free to send a private message to me through the Racqueteers Meetup message board or to [email protected] with any questions.

SCHEDULE: Dates and times for our Fall 2024 season are below. Usually, all dates are for Sundays at 6 PM, usually 4-5 courts. Note: We tend to fill up fast!

Finally it's here - the second fall event of the Racqueteers indoor season! Enjoy casual, coed, fun yet competitive doubles tennis. Level is 2.5 to 4.5. After each half-hour, winning teams move up and losing teams move down, changing partners after each move. As usual, good sportsmanship is paramount.

Cost is $25 per person for 2 hours of tennis, balls, and a smashing good time! After playing, there will be socializing in the nicely appointed lounge. As usual, it's BYOB/W. Water and carbonated beverages provided. Food included. Potluck too?

So, be sure to RSVP and pay to guarantee your spot using PayPal (www.paypal.com) to [email protected], using the friends and family option, if possible. Note: first time "yes" RSVP's who go on the PLAYING list, must promptly (same day) pay by PayPal (or message me to pay by other means) or risk being moved to the NOT PLAYING list. Cash and Zelle is accepted from returning players or guests. Feel free to message me with any payment questions.

Need to cancel? Please do so as early as possible so that we or you may find a sub. If you are available to sub for this event up to tostarting (Play for 1/2 price), please let us know. If put on the WAITLIST, hang in there and check the Racqueteers MU site frequently for status change to PLAYING. Late openings often occur or another court is available but needs to be filled up. As always, everybody depends on you to honor your "Yes" RSVP to have even numbers.
