In addition to the ever-popular annual **Holiday Lights Hike** above the Castro, Rainbow Sierrans will again offer a downtown walk to enjoy [SF Glow](https://downtownsf.org/things-to-do/lets-glow-sf), an outdoor holiday lights art festival. The FREE outdoor holiday event will use high-tech [Panasonic](https://connect.panasonic.com/en/) projectors and lasers to project large-scale art concepts across the facade of five iconic SF buildings. After our final stop on the SF Glow route, we'll continue on to Union Square, enjoying festivities on the Square and enjoying some of the amazing hotel lobbies and window decorations (Westin St Francis's colossal Sugar Castles, Macy’s, Maiden Lane etc.) Depending on the mood of the group there may be some caroling as well. There will be an optional extension up to Nob Hill to see the Gingerbread extravaganza at the Fairmont for those who want a little more cardio.

**NOTE:** This is an easy 2-ish mile **one-way** walk beginning at the SF Ferry Building and ending at Union Square (or the Fairmont). We will be visiting 5 "shows" along the way; each one lasts 5 minutes. There will be an optional short, but steep, extension up Nob Hill to the Fairmont at the end of the walk. There is transit galore from Union Square, or it's a mile walk back to the Ferry Building from either Union Square or the Fairmont.

**MEET**: Embarcadero Plaza where it hits the foot of Market Street at Steuart.

**BRING**: Holiday spirit, optionally festive attire, snacks, beverages

**DOGS**: Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome provided they remain on a leash. Remember it's a one-way walk and we may step into a couple of hotel lobbies.
