Black Friday hike at Pawtuckaway State Park
Details
Greetings gobblers,
I thought it would be a healthy hike after T-day.
The usual suspects will be on the trail, rocks, roots, ruts, low stumps and slippery leaves.
We'll hike to the fire tower and back. We may take a different trail from the tower back to the parking lot depending on how we did getting to the tower.
We'll meet at the main parking lot. The park is closed for the season, but open to day hikers.
This is an intermediate level hike. If it is wet, some rocks can be slick.
Bring at least 1 liter of water and a snack.
This is a popular hiking spot so we may see a few others along the way.
Make sure you have good hiking footwear and dress accordingly for the cold and possible wind.
If you have not been to the park, there are signs that help you find it.
Car pooling is a nice way to help the earth. The parking lot is large.
