Bear Wallow Mountain Walk/ Hike (moderate..not easy)

Meet 10 AM Monday June 16 2025 @ Bear Wallow Mountain Trail Head 4854 County Rd 1594 ( Bear Wallow Mountain Rd) Gerton area....Hendersonville. The road from Gerton area is narrow gravel.. (I do not recommend coming this way.) If you come from the west side the roads are paved up to the trailhead. I suggest you get to Arden and set the GPS. A housing development called Grand Highlands is next to the trail head. According to All Trails 2.1 mile loop with elevation gain of 584 feet . Listed as moderate. Please be aware of your physical ablilities/limitations . Water and walking stick would be good. Supposed to be cows at the top. Trail can be steep and have stone steps. Bring picnic lunch and chairs and we can picnic afterwards at the trail head. No restrooms the last time I was there. Hope you can make it . Ben 561 425-3077 [email protected]
