Managed by StartUpNV, the mission of Reno Startups is to provide educational value and networking opportunities that support Northern Nevada's growing startup community.
Do I belong in this group? If you are an entrepreneur, startup founder, investor, mentor, or just interested in networking, then you belong here. This group is focused on Reno-Tahoe, or any rural towns in Northern Nevada.
We offer monthly Lunch & Learns surrounding various business topics (marketing, pricing, customer discovery, etc.), angel investor education, founder bootcamps, and more.
StartUpNV also hosts weekly pitch days at the UNR Innevation Center, which will be on our calendar.

Founders and Community Members: This event is open to the community and offers a unique opportunity to learn about raising capital.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
Attend in-person or online.Up to two pre-vetted founders will pitch to the StartUpNV investment committee for consideration of entry into our accelerator program and a minimum $50K investment.
Each founder will present for 10 minutes with an additional 20 minutes for Q&A, moderated by the StartUpNV team.
The companies pitching have been selected in advance and meet all requirements to pitch to the StartUpNV Investment Committee and FundNV investors.
To meet the criteria for pitching to StartUpNV companies must be:
- Largely based in Nevada
- Scalable and venture investment-worthy
- Actively seeking to raise a pre-seed or seed-stage capital
- Founder(s) are working full-time on the startup
- Company has / soon will have an MVP / beta / v1.0 or is in the marketplace
- Vetted through our pitch review process to ensure all required topics are covered and the above requirements are met
