Welcome! We are a diverse group of people who work hard and play hard! If you are new to MeetUp, we can't wait to meet you! If not, come on down and enjoy all the fun and community you expect from great MeetUp groups.
This is an all inclusive group, designed to bring diverse people together. Here, BLM, LGBTQ+ and Allies are welcome, equality is respected, and differences are appreciated.
Please submit your event recommendations to one of our organizers. Leisurely hikes after brunch, beach parties, family BBQs, night out at the pub, wine walks, local events, exploring dining options, card night... all ideas welcome.

This group is free to use! However the group owner pays MeetUp dues of $98.94 every 6 months/twice yearly on January 15 and July 15. Join Chocolatier Phyllis Robinson of Tandem Chocolates for a guided chocolate experience from 6 to 8 pm!The class begins with a tasting of several single origin chocolates where we will discover the effect of terroir on chocolate. During the tasting, we'll discuss the history of chocolate and the current state of cacao production.
Next, we'll dive into a hands-on experience of hand rolling, dipping, and decorating truffles. Each participant will make a dozen truffles to take home along with the recipe and instructions for handcrafting truffles.
Aprons and gloves will be provided, but chocolate does have a way of getting everywhere, so dress casually.
Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances, as it can affect the chocolate tasting.

Come join the group to get in the Christmas spirit. We'll start off with the Grinch Made Me Do It saloon crawl and after that if you'd like to stay, you can watch the Parade of Lights at 5 pm and Magical Christmas Fireworks Show after at 6 pm. Feel free to dress in holiday attire: a Christmas costume or Christmas sweater. Dress for the weather. We'll meet at the ATM outside the Bucket of Blood Saloon, check in for our tickets and then be off. I sometimes have problems getting onto the app in Virginia City, so I'll send my number out to participants in case you need to contact me, as calls always seem to go through. Grinch Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl
Bring your group of merry elves for a holly, jolly good time in a historic holiday wonderland with The Grinch Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl, part of Virginia City’s Christmas on the Comstock. The event takes participants through town to some of our historic saloons along with restaurants and shops – all decked out for the season – to sip on festive drinks and indulge in sweet treats. Watch for the Grinch roaming the streets spreading his mischievous Christmas cheer.TICKETS: Tickets are $30 plus fee. You get 12 drink samples and 3 sweet treat samples. Parade of Lights
The Parade of Lights is free and starts at 5:00 pm. See the spirit of Christmas travel through our historic town as Christmas cheer lights up the streets with our annual Parade of Lights. Everyone is welcome to participate! Bring the entire family and join in the fun. Sip some hot cocoa and enjoy sweet treats from our local shops as you take in the warmth of the Christmas spirit.Magical Christmas Fireworks Show
Nothing says holiday magic like fireworks during the holidays. And Virginia City's Magical Christmas Fireworks Show is just that - Christmas magic. It’s just that extra sparkle needed to make your family truly believe that the spirit of Christmas is alive.
