Up to 40% of food feeds landfills while thousands of local individuals and families are hungry and food insecure. Volunteer as a FOOD RESCUER to rescue surplus food from businesses and deliver it to nonprofits that serve the underserved. FEED PEOPLE, NOT LANDFILLS.

- Upon completion of your orientation, your Rescuer Account is automatically activated (you will receive an email confirmation).
- Sign up for your first Rescue Event
- All Ages encouraged!
- No minimum time commitment is required: volunteer one-time, sporadically or on a recurring basis.
- Daily volunteering opportunities to choose from morning, afternoon and night throughout Rhode Island; and the Northeastern, MetroWest and SouthCoast areas of Massachusetts.
- Fulfill Community Service Hours: Documentation for proof of volunteering is available upon request.
- Safety guidelines are in place to ensure zero person-to-person contact.
- Go solo or as a team of family members, friends, co-workers, etc.
- Rescue via 2 feet, 2 wheels, 4 wheels, or MBTA Subway.
- A typical Rescue Event averages less than one hour of volunteering time.
- Food Donor Partners include restaurants, hotels, schools, caterers, corporate businesses and others.
- Nonprofit Partners include shelters, soup kitchens and others.
