Requirement: Members must have completed one or more Level 2 hikes. The elevation gain of this hike is significant by local standards.

Time Duration: ~3 hours
Blaze Orange: not required

Description:
This 2,660-acre forest offers a mix of nature and history. Explore some of the historic structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, a program that provided employment during the Great Depression, located here. Visitors can also hike, cross-country ski, and more.
Upton State Forest is a publicly owned forest with recreational features primarily located in the town of Upton, Massachusetts, with smaller sections in the towns of Hopkinton and Westborough.
The trails feature a few hills as they wind through the woods. The hills are not large but provide some good exercise. A pair of hiking boots are strongly suggested with the rocky and trails.
water (at least a liter) is required, and bring snacks along for the trail. We will have a few opportunities to stop for a break.
The day will be sunny with temps in the 50s. Let's hike a state forest!

Take the immediate right when you pull into the forest entrance. You will see a Brown CCC Administration building. Park there.
