**How about trying creating your own improv game or even a format?**

The participants will be divided in groups of four and they will have certain amount of time to create something that other teams will play.

**Welcome!**

Join this improv event for an evening filled with fun and laughter. Meet new people and open yourself to new challenges!

**What is it about?**

You have the opportunity to learn the basic principles of improv theater, to experience various improv games and exercises that support your creativity, spontaneity, and skills to cope with unexpected situations. It is a fun activity with the side effect of learning and self-discovery.

We always welcome beginners with zero acting or stage experience! An open and positive attitude is all you need :)

**What does it look like?**

We start with a long and very fun warmup. This transitions into various games, exercises, and short scenes tailored towards a specific skill - spontaneity, listening, storytelling, cooperating with others, vulnerability, character development, supporting your partner, attention to detail, emotional expression, object miming, body language, etc. The focus of any particular session is different each time and chosen by the moderator. The final hour typically offers an opportunity for longer more advanced scenework where some participants play (if they want to) while others watch them.

We have a rotating cast of moderators who pick each activity, support you, and ensure an open, supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Each moderator brings his or her own style to each session.

**Important things to know**

You must be on the Going list to attend. RSVPs for each event open two weeks before.

If you are Going (or Waitlisted), you can change your mind until midnight the previous day. Setting yourself to Not Going on the day of the event (or not showing up) is considered a no-show. After 3 no-shows we do a 1-month suspension from future events.

If you have never been to a Rice Cookie session before, you may skip the waitlist. You must still be registered and on the waitlist.

When entering the room, please fill-in the attendance sheet. We keep this data for up to 2 weeks.

Please bring non-slip socks or a second pair of shoes. We are not allowed to use our street shoes on the dance studio floor, and the floor can be slippery. We highly recommend comfortable clothes which allow for movement and possibly sitting on the floor.

We ask that you do not take photos or videos during the session. The moderator may take photos that could be used on Meetup or shared in our Whatsapp group; if you prefer not to appear or any photos, you must let the moderator know by the end of the session.

In cases of unacceptable behavior the moderator has the right to ask a participant to leave.

The event is in English.

**Price and payment**

It’s only 5€! You can pay via bank transfer or PayPal in advance, or cash at the start of the event. If you are in a difficult financial situation but want to participate, please contact us in advance.
