The session will cover:

1. Why do those who are new to cycling find hills hard?
2. Pedalling technique
3. Relationship between cadence and gears
4. Should you cycle out of the saddle and, if so, when?
5. Can you change gear out of the saddle?
6. How should you practice?

We will then practice on Dark Hill and finish with a post-session review.

Everyone will cycle at their own pace and anyone wishing to stop for a rest can do so whenever they wish.

Essential - please bring at least one water bottle, snacks, cash for coffee, lights, a pump, Allen keys/multi-tool, tyre levers and at least one spare inner tube.
