Richmond Book Club October 2024 Meeting

The Richmond Book Club's October meeting will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Capital Ale House-Midlothian, 13831 Village Place Drive, Midlothian, VA.

The book selected for October is Weyward by Emilia Hart. Published in 2023, it was an Amazon Best Book of the year and the winner of Goodreads Choice Awards for both Best Debut Novel and Best Historical Fiction. Kirkus Reviews tags it as "Thoughtful and at times harrowing, . . . a successful blend of historical fiction and modern feminism."

Book Club member Jeremy R., who's aways ahead of the game, has already read the book and offers this teaser: "A lurid and provocative tale of three women in different historical eras who are connected by a mysterious family name and a supernatural gift that puts them at great risk as they discover its power and share their love with future generations." Perfect for the witchy month of October!
