AT Overnight Section Hike- PenMar, Annapolis Rock and Black Rock

Meet at Sunflower Cottage Hostel Friday at 5:30 pm or whenever you can arrive or you can meet at the Hostel 8am Saturday morning.

EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR BOOKING THEIR OWN SPACE AT THE HOSTEL.

Tent or Car Camping also available. Cars can be left at hostel. They do not charge for vehicle parking but do request a donation to the hostel.

Shuttles to the starting point will be booked shortly before the trip. Shuttle costs will be split equally between everyone going.

Saturday: Shuttle to I-70 Footbridge AT mile marker 1049.1. We will hike NOBO to Raven Rock Shelter 1061.7. New Shelter – Privy – Bear Cables. .3 mile downhill to the east of the AT is a pooling spring. Can also fill up 1 mile before camp at 1060.8 a wide rocky stream. 12.6 miles

Sunday: Start AT mile marker 1061.7 hike NOBO to Sunflower Cottage AT mile marker 1067.5. 5.8 miles

We will hike a total of 18.3 AT miles.
Splitting the Appalachian Trail Maryland section into 2 separate trips due to proximity.
