AT Maryland Section Hike- Washington Monument, White Rocks and Weverton Cliffs

I-70 Footbridge back to Cross Trails Hostel where we left off.
Camp overnight at Crampton Gap Shelter. Most water spots depend on seasonal flow, with most being at shelters and camping areas. Highlights of this trip are : Washington Monument, White Rocks and Weverton Cliffs (for those interested).

Officially we meet 8am Saturday at Cross Trails Hostel. From there, we shuttle to starting point (shuttles and fees- $10-$20 per person booked closer to starting date). For those who will be staying at the hostel Friday night we will meet and we will go to dinner.

Saturday: Start: Cross Interstate 70 on a foot bridge mile marker 1048.8 on the A.T. We will hike SOBO to Crampton Gap Shelter mile marker 1036.8 completing 12 miles on Saturday. Crampton Gap Shelter is about a quarter mile off the AT on a side trail. It has a privy and a spring near the shelter.

Sunday: Hike back to Cross Trails Hostel mile marker 1029.2. We will hike 7.6 miles on Sunday.

We will hike a total of 19.6 miles
