What we’re about
There are many wonderful social meetup groups in the area.
Our particular niche is Local, Budget Friendly, and Smaller Groups.
The purpose of this group is to build friendships
We mainly do activities of interest to those over 40 but we are open to all ages.
We are open to all, single, married, divorced, in a relationship etc.
Please note you do not need to be from Kenosha or Racine, that is just where most of our meetups take place.
**Local….**The focus of this group is building friendship through activities, we mainly do moderately priced activities that are of interest to those 40 plus mainly in the Racine - Kenosha area. We do a variety of activities including but not limited to restaurants, movies, festivals, hiking, bowling, museums, plays, etc. I'm very open to suggestions, so let me know if there is something you'd like to do. I may even ask you to host it :-).
Budget Friendly… We keep the cost of most meetups to $30 or under. We want to keep the cost down so that you can come back often. The few events that may be above that budget the price will be noted in the description.
**Smaller Groups…**Most of our activities range from 4 to 10 people. If you happen to be an introvert like me this is less threatening than a large group. These smaller groups enable great conversations, and new people are easily included.
I often say the best aspect of this group is the people...I am continually amazed at the high quality of people I've been privileged to meet through this group; down to earth, caring, and incredibly fun. Come join us.
Group's Guidelines:
Purpose of the Group: The purpose of the group is to develop friendships. If you are looking for a dating site, this is not the group for you.
Cost: We have a modest $10 annual membership fee this is to cover the costs meetup charges me as the organizer. Also of course you are responsible for your own ticket, meals, or other fees associated with the actual meetup. Most of our meetups are under $30, the ones that are above that amount will be noted in the description.
RSVP: Please only RSVP "yes" for an event if you are 80% sure that you will be able to come. If you are really a maybe for an event...please wait until you are a "yes" before RSVPing. If you can't make it to an event please change your RSVP as soon as you know.
No shows: If you are a "No Show" (meaning no cancellation, no notification, just didn't show up) at 3 events you will be removed from the group.
Meetup Suggestions The best way to summit suggestions for future events is to email Jill so that she can add it to the list of ideas to share with all the organizers. If you happen to have a website link to send that is very helpful to your organizer We do our best so schedule a variety of activities, however we not guarantee that we will be able to schedule any particular event.
