Night Owl Game Store Boardgame Party 2nd Saturday
Details
Hi! We are geeks who like to play board games. Lately this crowd tends towards light to medium weight games but if you have a heavy game you want to bring and play/teach this crowd often has takers for a heavier Euro it's just not usually the typical vibe. To maximize the chances of that kind of game hitting the table I recommend recruiting players in the comments section before the event. The good news is we accommodate a wide variety of players and gamers. I typically bring games I can teach in ten minutes so newer players always have a place to ease into.
We do ask if you're not feeling well, please be courteous to your fellow gamers and stay home. If you have active symptoms, a mask is not enough to fully prevent the spread of disease.
Outside food is okay to bring or King Soopers is next door if you want to walk over and grab something or there are a couple of food places nearby. Generally people do their own thing for food, but sometimes bring goodies to share too when we are lucky 🤤
The organizers bring games to teach and share and always welcome newer board gamers as well as experienced players. If you have a game you enjoy and don't mind teaching please bring it along. We have so many people coming to have fun and we can always use an extra teacher in the mix. You do not need to be any kind of expert, we're just here to have fun.
I was going to write some rules out but honestly this group is really well run and doesn't generally need them. If anything I guess I'd say be kind, stay positive, keep an open mind, stay engaged when it's your turn in a game. Easy. Let's have a great Saturday night together!
ONE LAST THING ... meetup costs $200/yr to run so if you can find it in your budget to chip in $5-10 per year to the main organizer to keep the group running it would be super appreciated!!
