Join me as I get back into hiking shape! There are many trails at Fishburn Park that go to the top of the ridge and back down. This is an experiment - the plan is to hike up at our own paces, regroup at the top and catch our breath, then go down together. We will work our way around the park this way.

Don’t worry about how fast or slow you are. I’m not in good hiking shape right now. This isn’t about how fast you are, it’s just about getting in some hiking with elevation. That uses different muscles than hiking/walking on more level terrain. Come with the attitude that everyone takes the amount of time they need. We leave no hiker behind!!

For those not familiar with Fishburn, the ridge is not very high so these are pretty short ascents/descents.

The amount of mileage, elevation and finishing time is your choice. We will never be far from the parking lot so you can head back to your car whenever you’ve had enough!!

If this works I’ll be doing it a couple of times a month.

Bring water and wear good hiking shoes. There are lots of tree roots!
