Laurel Ridge Trail - Weekday Hike

Lower Overlook, Buford Dam

Trail is just short of 4 miles so we keep a moderately quick hiker's pace/jog (3 - 3.5mph) that allows this to be done in slightly over 1 hour or less for some.

This is a diverse and easy trail, but the pace should still allow for a good end of day workout. The trail follows the Lake Lanier and Chattahoochee shorelines through forested areas, looping back to where we begin. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on Laurel Ridge.

Jennifer and Songlin will lead the 'ROCket Hikers'.

Where we meet

We will meet next to the bathrooms in the Lower Overlook Parking Lot and leave on time. There is no fee to park here.

Weather

If we are expecting heavy rain/lightning, the hike will most likely be postponed.
