This is a great opportunity to help people eat healthy food in a part of the city sorely lacking in grocery stores. The People's Pantry gives a full range of groceries to people in need three days a week. Donations come from Wegmans, Costco, Foodlink, etc. Volunteers man one of several stations (shelf stable, frozen protein, fresh produce) and assist with selections. The process is well organized, with runners keeping the stations stocked and only a few people come through at a time. There is a small parking lot in the back and also across the street at the library.
