Friday Night is Movie Night!
Details
How many of us eat and watch a movie alone at home? Why not do both with a group of friends?
Join me for a potluck dinner followed by a movie. Once RSVPs close, we'll sort out who brings what for dinner.
The movie: "The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming!" Released during the peak of the Cold War Era, this is a deft, uproarious comedy. A Soviet submarine runs aground off the coast of Nantucket. The captain dispatches members of the crew to find a boat that can pull the sub into deeper waters. The crew head to a nearby island. The islanders go into panic, mistakenly thinking that this is a Russian invasion. The movie may be 60 years old, but is a timely reminder that all is not what it seems. Foreigners are not always bad guys.
Allergy alert: I share my house with 2 cats.
