The Other Side of Saddle River Cnty. Park (County Pitch) E-Z Warm up Walk

Come stretch those legs and get some fresh air at the south side of Saddle River County Park! Burn some holiday calories.

This easy slow/moderate paced walk on paved level paths will take us from Fair Lawn to the Otto Pehle Park in Saddle Brook and Rochelle Park with a stop at the Easton Tower along the Saddle River. This walk will be about 2 hours covering approx. 5 miles with a few breaks along the way. Swings may be available for your inner child.

Restrooms should be available at the Otto Pehle area and port o johns may be available at other locations.

All you need are supportive hiking shoes, boots or sneakers. Get the winter gear out and dress in layers. Gator time is here! :0)
Though the paths are fairly level, the pavement can be hard on the feet so wear appropriate footwear.

Bring snacks, Water is mandatory, sun protection, cameras and binoculars for possible wildlife sightings.

Remember on these shared pathways to ALWAYS keep to the right to make way for cyclists, skaters, the Rare Blake Bird and other pedestrians to pass safely.
