Monday Night Game Night
Details
The Monday night game event is flexible around the players that show up and what they want to play. After everybody arrives we discuss the games for the night. Generally we want to play something that wasn't played the previous week. If there are 6 to 8 players in a game night we may break up into 2 gaming teams.
Folks often bring a snack to share which can be a veggie/fruit platter, chips, dips, soda, or alky drinks. Any left over goodies will carry over to the next week, so we are well stocked. Please do not bring plates or plasticware as the host provides those items.
If we have 3 to 4 players video games are a great fit. The Steam machine is hooked up in the living room for couch co-op games like For the King II, Full Metal Furies, Minecraft Dungeons, etc.
With 3 to 5 players we can play a board game. The games available are of medium complexity (12 page rule book at most) and take 1 to 4 hours to play. They include King of New York, 7 Wonders, Clank Catacombs, Robo Rally, etc.
With and even number of players we can play Magic. There are prebuilt limited decks which are balanced against each other. It's a homebrew meta mostly playing Modern cards.
Once there are 4 or more players we can start the D&D campaign. The base game is the tactical 4E and it's extensively modified with homebrew rules. The custom rules automate the adventure path and create a game experience that is closer to a warhammer battle than the standard interactive narrative campaign.
Every week on Monday until December 19, 2024
