Linux is a family of Open Source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel. Everyone is welcome, whether you use Linux as your daily driver on your computer, use it at work to deploy production systems, or are just interested and want to learn a bit more.

There's rarely a scheduled talk, but always a good conversation and you're bound to learn something new!

Community art meetup! Bring your favorite materials or use ours. Start something new or bring a work in progress... Bring a friend and collaborate, or simply hang out! This meetup is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged!

Soldering is a fundamental skill for any sort of electronics work, and this workshop will teach you how to safely solder components onto a circuit board.

We'll give you a small electronics kit, and you'll solder some LEDs and other components onto a circuit board. When you're done, you'll know how to solder and have a neat blinky electronics toy to take home!

The cost of this workshop is $20.

Calling all crafters!

Grab your needles (or hooks) and join us for an evening at the Hackerspace with friends who knit, embroider, or crochet. This is an open group to all crafty wine lovers (and those who don't enjoy grown-up grape juice). There is no formal instruction or structure to this meetup, but there are sure to be people willing to help guide you on your project. Sip some wine, exchange patterns and tips, and make some friends!

This event is open to all ages, but you must be 21+ to partake in any alcohol. It's recommended to BYOB (BYOW?) or bring a cash donation.
