What we’re about
My name is Nikki, and I’m new to gardening too—this is my first year!
Whether you’re a seasoned grower, a curious beginner, or just thinking about starting, this group is for you. We welcome Black women, men, families, and anyone on this journey to grow with us.
This is more than a gardening group—it’s a movement. We are Black gardeners in Las Vegas, united by a shared passion for growing our own food, reclaiming our connection to the earth, and building a self-sustaining community.
In a world where access to fresh, healthy food isn’t always equitable, we aim to empower each other with the knowledge, skills, and resources to grow our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Whether you’re an experienced gardener, just starting out, or dreaming of your first garden, you are welcome here.
Together, we will:
🌱 Exchange seeds, plants, and gardening tips
🌱 Celebrate Black culture and heritage through the food we grow
🌱 Host workshops, potlucks, and garden tours
🌱 Strengthen our community by sharing knowledge, food, and support
Let’s take control of our food sources, nurture our health, and cultivate deep roots within our community. Join us as we plant the seeds of empowerment and growth—one garden at a time.
