Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Hastings and St Leonard's Weekly Community Singing and Drumming CircleClifton Centre, Saint Leonards-on-sea
We are a friendly and welcoming community singing and drumming circle. We meet each Saturday evening either at the Clifton Centre, or at the beach - weather dependent (please contact 07828 629356 for details). We gather from 6pm onwards and begin with sharing food. We then open the circle with a brief meditation and a check in. Then we move into singing and drumming and sometimes dancing, and often close with meditative kirtan songs and chants. We sing a variety of songs including more traditional medicine songs, pop songs and much else! The emphasis is on creating a safe space where we can all experience a sense of belonging and inclusion. You are welcome to come whether you have experience of singing and drumming or not and even if you think you can't sing or drum! We have community drums available to use if you don't have your own and percussion such as a tambourine or shaker. The group is donation only to ensure that our circle is accessible to all. It would be lovely to welcome you! More details are available here. ***Please note, we are a drug and alcohol free sober space in order to take care of the wellbeing of our members***.
