Rosicrucians in Asheville, NC Welcomes you!
The Rosicrucians are a community of philosophers who study and practice the Natural Laws governing the Universe.
Our Asheville group, named after the Egyptian goddess Hathor, meets on the first Sunday of each month for a Convocation* followed by refreshments, discussion, Sound Healing (bring your favorite instrument or borrow one of ours!) and the beautiful Council of Solace** meditation. AMORC members, their family, and close friends of the Rosicrucian Order are invited to join us on "First Sundays" for the activities of their choice!
In most months there is an additional meeting with a workshop or discussion forum format. Recent topics have included Reincarnation; A Rosicrucian Perspective on the Tarot; Forgiveness; Making Our Way in a Chaotic World- A Call for Healing and Peace; and Messages from our Inner Self - An Introspective Collage Workshop.
Whether in a meeting or at a workshop, each activity aids in focusing on the higher things in life, re-charging and restoring our psychic energy, and bringing healing to ourselves, to others, and to our beautiful planet Earth. Participants leave feeling expanded, uplifted and having connected with others of like mind.
"Convocation" is the name given to a Rosicrucian ceremony that begins with a brief individual meditation period before gathering in our sacred space for guided meditation to focus our awareness on the Cosmic. This is followed by either a mystical exercise focused on aiding development of mystical skills, or a Discourse which presents facts, thoughts and ideas on a mystical topic, followed by discussion.
**Council of Solace is a Rosicrucian meditation to bring cosmic assistance to all those who need it. The Council does this by putting certain spiritual energies into motion and directing them in accordance with mystical law and natural principles. The aid of the Council of Solace operates on the cosmic plane. Its activity is metaphysical and in no way interferes with any professional or health care assistance being received on the physical plane.
