Rosicrucians in Boston Massachusetts and New England

Just back from leading the Rosicrucian Tour through Central Europe, Grand Master Julie Scott will share some of the art, science, and mysticism of this area.

We’ll explore the beauty and mystique of Budapest, Vienna, Prague, and Krakow, from prehistoric times 36,000 years ago to ancient Roman times to the transformative periods of the Alchemists, the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment. We’ll stroll along historic Nerudova Street in Prague with its houses decorated with alchemical symbols instead of street numbers and explore Vienna’s Kuntshammer – the largest collection of objects from Emperor Rudolf II’s personal collection of human-made and natural wonders. We will also learn about the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, artist Gustav Klimt, and scientist Marie Curie, and others from this area.

As students of life, we need to be attentive to how mystical laws and principles apply to the wide-ranging subjects of study in the great laboratory of the Cosmos. In this manner, our lives become much more meaningful and efficient in fulfilling our duties and mission in life. As an example, the nurse and mystic Florence Nightingale dedicated her life’s work to the development and application of statistics for the progressive reform and transformation of health practices and hospitals. In a similar spirit, we will consider ways in which the ideas of statistics are related to, and have parallels with, mysticism.

The public is invited to join fellow Seekers and Rosicrucian students at 11:30am EST on Saturday, December 14th for an Open Meeting discussion from the book Practical Mysticism by Edward Lee, focusing on Chapter 11 (pp 68-72) entitled “Are We Free?”. Practical Mysticism is a “how-to” guide for applying practical mystical principles to improve our lives. In Chapter 11, the author addresses the question “Do we live according to a cosmic plan or are we free to do what we want to do?”
