What we’re about
WELCOME ROUND ROCK BITCOINERS
Our mission is to share bitcoin knowledge, tools, and resources, while creating a peer to peer network of local bitcoiners, within the Round Rock community. Whether you are new to bitcoin or a hardened node runner, if you live in or around Round Rock, this group is for you.
The purpose of this group is 2 fold:
1 - Share knowledge while discussing tools, resources, and benefits of the Bitcoin network for advancing humankind.
2 - Peer to peer networking with other bitcoiners in order to grow adoption by small local businesses within our community, in a decentralized "grass roots" fashion.
** We meet Every Second Thursday of the Month at 6:00PM **
06:30pm to 08:30pm: we meet at Allen R Baca Center, 301 W Bagdad Ave, Building 2, Round Rock, TX 78664 to share an educational topic (small presentation). We'd like to have time for introductions, tool demos, and even a little peer to peer circular economy action.
08:30pm: we head to a local bar for a pint or a margarita, more discussions, and the opportunity to share our Bitcoin journey with others.
Check out our website at https://www.roundrockbitcoiners.com/ for past discussions and other Bitcoin resources.

See all- Satoshi Run for HalHippo Social Club, Hutto, TX
You’re invited to join us for the first ever Satoshi Trail Run for Hal on April 5th at Hippo Social Club! Come together with the greater Austin area’s bitcoin community to celebrate Satoshi's birthday, the release of the bitcoin white paper, and experience the best money humans have ever discovered.
This is a paid event. You can purchase your tickets here!
The event will feature a trail run to benefit the ALS Network’s Hal Finney ALS / MND Research Fund in partnership with the Running Bitcoin Challenge. Hal Finney was an important early contributor to bitcoin and was the first individual to receive a bitcoin transaction from Satoshi in early 2009; he sadly passed away from ALS in 2014, but his legacy lives on through the Finney Prize and his wife Fran’s tireless efforts to raise awareness and funding for ALS research.
The event will take place at the Hippo Social Club in Hutto and is presented in partnership the Austin Bitcoin Club, Bitcoin Commons, Round Rock Bitcoin Club, University of Texas Longhorn Club and the San Antonio Bitcoin Club.
We’re excited to partner with Tejas Trails to facilitate the race - there will be options for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, kids race, and canine race along the beautiful trail! Food will be sold separately at the event. Check out additional run details here.
We’ll have a bitcoin market with local vendors and meat served by Chef Johnny. The event will also feature bitcoin 101, games and activities for kids, and speakers from across the local business and bitcoin ecosystem. Recover post-race and utilize the cold plunge and sauna!
We want to thank our sponsors, led by Unchained, a local Austin business that helps individuals and businesses buy and hold bitcoin long term in a collaborative custody model.
