Details

New Route:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49049979

We'll ride this route clockwise, heading south before taking in river views at the Wheatland Ferry, and heading back following the river. We can have a water/bathroom stop at the Banker's Cup at mile 33.
If the weather changes there are a few ways we can cut it short.

Ride will proceed with flexibility for weather, mechanical, and group.

As usual, a no-drop ride, we'll regroup at the top of hills.
Water/Bathroom stop in Silverton if needed.

Roll out from Butteville General Store at 10 am.

Speedy Intermediate. Not a beginner ride. Nor is it a racing ride. Good climbing at a steady pace, maintaining climbing legs.
Ebikes welcome as long as you hang with the group.

13-16 mph average pace for this no-drop ride (your average pace for flatter rides should be more than this). We'll regroup at the top of hills and a couple of other places. Climb at your own pace. Bring a layer for fun times cruising down. Guidelines for this ride are: safety, flexibility, communication.

Everyone must have a copy of the route on their device, printed out, or in their head. If you decide to give it a try and maybe cut out early you need to be able to find your way back to the start.

You'll enjoy this ride if: you enjoy speeding along on the flats interspersed with short climbs, scenic vistas, and want to still have time to do other things later in the day. Or, you want to train or stay in shape for harder rides.
Coronavirus rules: 6 feet social distance

Ride leader: Jenny Stoffel

Mt Angel up to Fox Road and Abiqua Creek
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49037646
Current forecast is for most of the ride to be in the mid-to-high 40s with the sun emerging during the second half of the ride, so layer up.

We'll follow the sun to Mt. Angel, warming up on the flats before taking on some climbing up a series of ascending hills with panoramic vistas. A final push up Fox Road gets us up to Victor Point. Then we'll descend and hairpin in and out of Silverton, following the Petal Pedal route up and down the Abiqua river before returning to Mt. Angel. Ride will proceed with flexibility for weather, mechanical, and group.

As usual, a no-drop ride, we'll regroup at the top of hills.
Water/Bathroom stop in Silverton if needed.

Roll out from Benedictine Brewery at 10 am.
