2024-12-07 - Rummy Club Holiday Party & Meetup

Join us on Saturday, December 7th, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Panera Bread on Bellflower Blvd in Long Beach for our Holiday Party & Rummy Club Meetup—a special celebration to close out 2024 with some rummy fun! This is a free community event open to all, whether you’re a seasoned rummy player or a rummy rookie. We’re bringing the games and the prizes, and we’re excited to bring everyone together for a fun-filled afternoon!

🃏 We Bring the Games, You Bring the Fun:
We’ll bring over 24 decks of standard playing cards for classic rummy games like Gin Rummy, Rummy 500, Continental, and Canasta. Plus, we’ve got a binder with instructions to guide you through all the classics.

We’ll also have multiple copies of commercial rummy games like Rummikub, Five Crowns, Phase 10, and Rummoli ready to play. For those who enjoy Mahjong, we’ve got American Mah Jongg sets, with written instructions and a collection of 2024 National Mah Jongg League cards for anyone interested in giving it a try.

You don’t need to bring anything except a friendly attitude and a desire to have fun. If you find a game you love, just let a RummyWorks team member know, and we can help you get a copy in time for a holiday gift or as a treat for yourself!

🎁 Holiday Party Prize Drawing:
In addition to the games, we’re hosting a fun holiday prize drawing to celebrate the season! When you arrive, make sure to grab your ticket from a RummyWorks team member—just let us know you’ve joined us for a game, and you’ll be all set to enter the drawing. Tickets will be available until just before 4:30 PM, when the drawing takes place. Winners must be present to claim their prize.

Here’s how to earn extra tickets:

• Arrive before 3:00 PM: Get a free extra ticket.
• Wear an ugly sweater: Get a free extra ticket.

So, if you come and play within the first hour and wear an ugly sweater, you could get three free tickets for the drawing!

🕎 Wear Your Favorite Ugly Holiday Sweater:
Get into the holiday spirit by wearing your favorite ugly holiday sweater! Whether it’s sparkly, silly, or totally outrageous, we want to see it. Just a friendly reminder—let’s keep it PG and PG-13 at worst! We want the sweaters to contribute to a fun, family-friendly, and inclusive atmosphere that will keep the games lighthearted and enjoyable for everyone. If you don’t have an ugly sweater, no worries—this is all for fun, so feel free to come as you are and wear something comfortable. It’s all about having a great time!
