Cozy social Saturday afternoon Christmas walk/jog/run in Østerbro

Put on your fanciest Christmas dress and come join us for our annual traditional festive afternoon walk in Østerbro!

As opposed to our regular runs, this event starts at 1 PM. Please also note that this is primarily a social event, i.e., there will be multiple long pauses with traditional Christmas food & drinks on the trail.

We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”.

How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After - and, in this this case, during - the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize.

Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30.

Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 10 to 30 people) just show up.
