Bryan Park Monthly Stream Clean-Up

Join Friends of Bryan Park on November 23rd from 9-11am to clean streams throughout the park. Please meet at Shelter 1 at 9:00 am.

NOTE: The November cleanup will be on Nov 23rd, the 4th Saturday of the month, to avoid the Richmond Marathon on Nov 16th.

Margaret will be putting the kayak in at Jordan Branch and anyone wishing to bring a kayak and join is welcomed. There are numerous areas along Jordan Branch that need clearing out but cannot be reached by path so I definitely can use some help there. Also, upper and lower ponds and rocks below the dam need some cleaning.

Once again, we meet at Shelter 1 at 9:00 am and stream clean until 11:00 am. Please meet back at Shelter 1 by 11:00 am. We stream clean rain or shine. Best to wear long pants and sturdy shoes; ideally boots. Gloves, pickers, and recycled grain bags are provided. Water and snacks are available. Saturday, so far, is sunny and will start with a chill then warm up so dress for the weather.

Bryan Park cleanups are rain or shine - so please dress for the weather. Pickers and trash bags are provided. We do provide work gloves but bring your own if you prefer. Wear sturdy shoes and/or waterproof boots if you're up to getting into the water.

There are areas with a lot of trash brought into the park by the interstate. You have to hike into these areas. If you are looking for a workout, this definitely qualifies! Burn some calories and clean up the park - it's win win!

Cleanups are monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month from September through May.
