Stagecoach Trail, Manzanita Trail, and Western States Trail Loop

Lets try this again with a 5.0-mile loop trail that begins at the American River near Cool, California. It is a moderately challenging route, with a total elevation gain of 600 ft. The most significant of this gain being 490 ft on a gradual ascent of 1.85 miles. This trail is great for hiking, mountain biking, and running. Well-behaved dogs, used to other dogs are welcome. Parking is $10 or Poppy Pass. Otherwise, park across the bridge at hwy 49 and Old Foresthill Rd for free. Let's meet at the Kiosk on Old Foresthill Rd. Fees may be paid here or at self-registration on the side of the road. Again, parking is free at the green gate off of hwy 49 at the bridge.
