A quick heads-up: Sactown Kabob is happy to have us as long as we are paying customers, so feel free to order some food or drinks while you're there. If you need a recommendation, here are a few of my favorite dishes:
- Combo Plate: Chicken (Joojeh Kabob) and beef (Koobideh) with rice and salad
- Steak Kabob or Lamb Kabob: Served with rice, salad, or both
- Gormeh Sabzi: A delicious stew with beef chunks, greens, and kidney beans
- If you're just in the mood for something light, their appetizers are amazing! I recommend the hummus with bread, dolmeh (grape leaves with vegetarian filling), or yogurt cucumber dip.
Also, if you’re up for a fun night after our meetup, the restaurant hosts an after-hours event on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 PM to 2 AM with traditional Persian music, belly dancing, and street food. The food starts at 9 PM, and the belly dancing kicks off at 10 PM! If you’d like to stick around for that, be sure to make a reservation at the register when you arrive, as seating is limited.
