The results of the last election were a shock to some people, but not so surprising to others. There are many factors that this group considered and analyzed at the event on Nov 9. This event will not really be about analyzing the apparent causal factors of Harris' loss and Trump's win, but we will instead take a deeper look at the question of whether this election was free and fair. Did the campaigns play by the rules and follow the laws regarding campaigning and fundraising and how money was spent? This is an important question because these laws were established with the intent to make elections more fair and to make it less likely for candidates to engage in corruption and treachery in order to win. We need to consider this on all sides and we probably should look at this not only for this last election, but prior elections as well.

Looking at the 2024 elections in particular with a close eye, do you think that either of the two major candidates' campaigns violated election finance law? Do you think either campaign engaged in corrupt actions in order to sway the vote? Do you think that either candidate was not really eligible to run for public office because they previously led an insurrection against the US?

Ok so you know who I was referring to with that last question. The courts did not declare Trump ineligible to run, but do you personally think he should have been declared ineligible? If so, do you think that this last election was truly free and fair? We need to consider these questions, because one candidate was declared the winner and the unquestioned assumption by many people is that the election was clean. This question should be seriously considered and this is what we are going to do at this event.
