The Independence East Trail follows the gentle gradient of an old mining ditch, offering occasional views of the South Yuba River canyon. Along the way, the trail passes through seasonal side streams and bogs, and features two picnic tables, several benches, and wooden bridges that have replaced the historic flumes. This easy hike takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. After the hike, we’ll drive about 15 minutes to enjoy a meal at Diego’s, a fantastic Cuban restaurant known for its delicious variety of dishes. 

We will meet outside of Whole Foods near produce side at 9AM to carpool. Meetup groups Sacramento Singles Adventures and Bucket of Adventures will be attending. 

This is a Members Only event. Your membership fee must be up-to-date. You have an option of paying a $20 annual or $30 lifetime. Private message me and let me know if you want to pay through Zelle Venmo or PayPal.
