I was tragically late to the David Berman bandwagon, but that Purple Mountains album from 2019 absolutely blew me away. It honestly might be my favorite album of all time from a lyrics standpoint. If you're a fan of clever wordplay that simultaneously makes you laugh and cry, I definitely recommend that you check out the Silver Jews catalog as well.
