What we’re about
Welcome to St. Petersburg Competitive Tennis! We are all about fun and fitness — and improving our tennis skills, of course! Some of us play in leagues; others, just for fun. But we come together every week to enjoy the sport of tennis and each other's company in beautiful St. Pete! Depending on how many people show up, we'll play singles, doubles, or Australian-style (2-on-1) doubles. Most of our regular players are between the 2.0 and 5.0 skill levels, though we have a beginners night on Monday to encourage newer players to come out.
Please note: This is NOT a singles/dating/hookup group. Yes, occasionally we socialize in non-tennis settings, but unwanted social advances — on the court or via the Meetup interface — will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the group, no exceptions! Remember, tennis is a gentlemen's (and ladies') sport — we respect our fellow players at all times, on and off the court.
