What we’re about
You love sales and often turn No into Yes, or you're a marketing wiz turning churn into loyal MAU's. You live for the upside of making that sale as the underdog. You feel like the world could be yours for the taking if only you had some context, some product or service you could get your hands on. You are a sales or marketing person in your bones.
But, you feel stifled and your talents are being wasted. Whether by corporate BS or lack of opportunity, you could be a fire but you're missing the material used to make the spark.
Many of our startups at Startup Oasis in Georgia Tech's ATDC are in the Go-To-Market phase. These Founders have the rich inner-life to come up with the idea and collaborate in building it. But many are missing that X-factor to help their startup gain widespread market adoption.
That is where you come in. You already have a job to pay the bills or have allotted your time already in looking for one, but where is the upside? Given a better mousetrap, you can put a dent in the universe.
Come join us and see what possibilities lie at your feet for using your talents to benefit all parties. Whether for commission or as a stable part of the startup team, this is where the world opens up for you.
After all, its in your bones.

Welcome to Startup Oasis!
We will be introducing projects for you to get involved with during the founders' pitches. There is no group like this on Meetup or in the startup world because we filter out the BS and get you going on a project ASAP. No judges, no winner, and no time-consuming feedback.
If you are looking to start, join, or help a tech startup, this event is for you! Startup founders pitch their business to the audience (similar to Shark Tank), telling us their biggest needs (usually help with developing their concept and/or go-to-market strategy). After the last pitch, each founder gets a breakout group to have deeper discussions with attendees - you can choose a group to join (similar to a hackathon). People have been able to start a business as a result of this process. If you would like to pitch, please RSVP here, and sign up at check-in on the day of the event.
We meet on the 3rd Thursday evening of each month in person at our location at ATDC (Tech Square, 2nd-floor lobby)! ATDC is a technology incubator with world-class facilities - you will be impressed!
Free food and drinks are provided beforehand at a partner event with ATDC. ATDC Entrepreneurs Night starts at 5 PM; our event starts promptly at 7 PM. Everyone here is welcome to attend both events for free.Schedule:
5:00 PM EST - Doors Open/Networking
5:10 - Catered food and drinks are served
6:50 - Up to 10 founders are chosen to pitch
7:00 - Startup Oasis Begins; each founder gets 3 minutes to pitch
7:30 onward - Founders break off into break-out rooms, and attendees can move around and help one for the remainder of the time, similar to a hackathon. While there, the group can do anything from provide feedback, to beginning onboarding, to continue building it. This is where the magic happens.Startup Oasis was created to pierce the illusion of accessibility of startups and tech by creating a grassroots forum for early-stage founders to pitch to those in the tech ecosystem to get real-time feedback for their idea or business.
