Euchre Night @ Poplar Street Pub

Colder weather has arrived - it’s time for an evening game of Euchre at Poplar!

A favorite card game with those who hail from the #Midwest - we're growing a great group of enthusiastic euchre players right here in Salt Lake City, with members from Utah and transplants from Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana & more - even Maryland!
Come make new friends of all ages and backgrounds.

If you don't know how to play Euchre, we will show you how by explaining the rules and playing some practice hands.

Once you get the hang of it, you will be off to the races having a good time with this fun card game!

Hoping to set the tone as primarily social - it's not about domination. It's ok to want to win, but please don't overdo the competitiveness, and just enjoy the game and everyone's company!

A couple of admin things:

• Accurate RSVPs are helpful, but when we have had uneven numbers, we takes turns sitting out, and we still have had fun games. So don’t worry, just show up, we will make it work!
• Buy something please - the event is free, but we ask that all attendees spend a minimum of $3 on food or a drink at every event, as a good will gesture to our host Poplar Street Pub.

REMINDER - Poplar Street Pub is a 21+ establishment - bring an ID with you!

Notes on transportation and parking: Trax: Gallivan Center UTA Trax is about a 7 minute walk to Poplar.
Parking: There are normally some free 2 hour angle parking spots available on 3rd S between 2nd W and 3rd W. Also, while these are both busy streets, and a bit of a walk, there is free parking on 3rd W in front of the Residence Inn, and also on 4th S between 2nd W and 3rd W - spaces seem to always be available for both. Otherwise, there are pay lots around, but it’s pricey. Metered parking spaces on the street only require payment up to 8pm.
