Night Plunge - Downtown Salt Lake City
Details
Night time session - 0.25 mile hike to destination required
In sub 50 degree ambient temperatures, immediate redressing is required after the plunge to avoid the risk of hypothermia.
Participants are encouraged to bring the following:
Warm, layered clothing: Multiple layers (including a thermal base layer, fleece, and insulated jacket) are essential for rewarming after the plunge. Avoid cotton, as it retains moisture and can make you colder.
Towel: Bring a large, quick-dry towel to use immediately after exiting the water. This will help you dry off quickly and start warming up.
Warm hat and gloves: Covering your extremities is crucial to retain body heat, especially after a cold plunge.
Important: Please be aware that nighttime plunges come with additional challenges, including colder temperatures and limited visibility. Participants should be prepared for these conditions and have prior experience with cold plunging or a high comfort level in cold environments.
